Kajabi vs. Shinepages
I will be comparing two all-in-one platforms for online businesses, one of the most popular and another that many coaches and course creators aren't yet aware.
In today's digital age, having a strong online presence is more important than ever, which is why choosing the right platform for your business is crucial to your success.
I've used both, but I'm just a regular non-techy middle aged woman so I won’t be getting too deep into every single feature, only the general features.
But how do these two platforms compare, and which one is the best fit for your needs? If you're ready for business growth and to upgrade to an all in one platform grab a cup, as, I’m going over both Kajabi and ShinePages, examining their key features and pricing models to help you make an informed decision.
Both platforms are outstanding choices, but with Kajabi and Shinepages it comes down to your needs and budget.
By the end of this post, you'll have a better understanding of the slight differences of each platform and be able to make an informed decision about which one to choose.

Free Trial
When it comes to trying out a platform before committing to a paid plan, both Kajabi and Shine Pages offer a free trial option.
Maybe you're already decided on an all-in-one platform and would like to try for yourself, without reading the rest. If that's you-
Both platforms require users to provide payment information to sign up for the free trial, but users can cancel at any time before the trial period ends to avoid being charged.
Of course, if you want more facts before signing up, carry on to learn!
Please Note
You'll need to provide payment information using your credit card to try both platforms, but you can cancel before they charge you in 14 days. Don't forget to cancel if you're not interested! That's coming from my personal experience of too many accidental payments to count!
Website Builder
Shinepages website builder is designed to be user-friendly and intuitive, with a drag-and-drop interface that makes it easy for users to customize their website.
There's also range of beautifully designed templates with a feminine vibe, which is convenient if your business caters to all women.
And, the templates are fully customizable, so businesses can create a website that reflects their brand.
Additionally, Shinepages' website builder is optimized for mobile devices, ensuring that the website looks great on all devices.
Kajabi's website builder is also user-friendly, with a drag-and-drop interface that makes it easy to customize the website. Kajabi offers a wide range of templates, but with not as much flexibility within each template.
Both Shinepages and Kajabi offer website builders that make it easy for businesses to create professional-looking websites without the need for complicated technical skills.
I’ve built websites on both platforms and Shinepages seems to be less tech heavy for the beginner user.
SEO
In terms of SEO, both platforms offer basic SEO tools to help businesses optimize their website for search engines. SEO tools include the ability to add meta descriptions and descriptions to each page, the ability to create custom URLs sitemaps, and edit robots.txt files. I use RankIQ to make SEO easy, because it can be confusing, but it's important, if you want to be found by customers.
Course Creation
One of the key features of all-in-one platforms like Shinepages and Kajabi is the ability to create and sell online courses.
Digital learning has been growing exponentially since 2020, for the obvious reason, but it's not going anywhere and in fact it's projected to be over 250 billion dollar industry by 2028!
With that in mind, a platform that provides the option of creating and delivering courses is becoming essential, and both Kajabi and Shinepages offer tools that allow businesses to create and sell courses, with features such as course builders with modules, using video, audio or text.
However, this is where the biggest difference lies between the two.
Kajabi has a few features that Shinepages doesn’t yet have, but hoping to launch later this year.
- The ability to drip release course content meaning the student doesn’t have access right away to prevent overwhelm. The courses don’t have to be dripped, but it’s an option Shinepages doesn’t yet have at the time of this writing.
- Assessments- Course creators are able to test the students on their progress, which not only helps the student to retain the information, but gives the instructor an idea of how the curriculum is being understood.
- Certificates- This is a bonus that a lot of students will appreciate as it can be added to their resume, website, social media or printed out and hung on the wall!
If you are newer to business, and acourse is something you want to work on, or even if you have a course already in addition toother segments of your business Shinepages might be best for you.
If course creation is your main focus in your business, Kajabi might be the better choice due to the more robust features in the course builder.
Email Marketing
Both Kajabi and Shinepages offer robust email marketing capabilities that allow businesses to create and send targeted email campaigns to their subscribers.
They both have customizable email templates and allow users to create automated email sequences that can be triggered by certain actions, such as signups or purchases.
You can segment and tag subscribers, to send campaigns to only certain members depending on their interests, which is an important email marketing strategy to keep open rates and clicks high, while decreasing unsubscribers.
In addition, they both provide detailed analytics and reporting that can help businesses track the success of their email campaigns.
One key difference between the email marketing capabilities of Kajabi and Shinepages is the level of integration with other platforms.
Kajabi integrates with a wide range of third-party email providers, such as Mailchimp, AWeber, and Convertkit allowing businesses to use their preferred email marketing platform.
Shinepages, on the other hand, offers email marketing as an integrated feature within the platform, which may be ideal for businesses that prefer an all-in-one solution.
Overall, both Kajabi and Shinepages offer powerful email marketing capabilities that can help businesses create and send targeted email campaigns to their subscribers.
Templates
I've mentioned templates in every section, but it's such an important feature, that templates need a whole section dedicated to the gems that they are.
Both Kajabi and Shinepages offer a variety of customizable templates, which is so nice for busy business owners that are doing all the things themselves! Most of us aren't web designers or coders, so to be able to find a template and just drag and drop your own content into the template is a huge time and frustration saver.
Shinepages also offers a range of customizable templates for landing pages, sales pages, and opt-in forms. The platform's templates are designed to be modern and visually appealing, with a focus on clean design and clear calls-to-action. Shinepages' templates are also highly customizable, allowing users to add their branding, images, and content to create a unique look and feel for their online presence.
Sales Funnels
Another important aspect of all-in-one platforms is the ability to create sales funnels. Both Shinepages and Kajabi provide sales funnel building tools that enable businesses to create targeted sales funnels that convert visitors into customers.
Both offer comprehensive options to help businesses drive sales and grow their customer base. A sales funnel builder is a powerful tool that allows users to create a variety of sales funnels, including opt-in funnels, product launch funnels, and webinar funnels.
If you're just starting out in business, wrapping your head around things like sales funnels can be daunting, so to have templates, lead magnets, sales pages, and payment capabilities is helpful.
Lead Magnets
Lead magnets are a critical tool for businesses looking to grow their email lists and engage potential customers.
Both platforms have a variety of lead magnets with customizable templates, which I covered in the Sales Funnel and templates section.
Both offer a range of lead magnet options, including the ability to create landing pages, pop-ups, and opt-in forms. fully customizable, and again with the wide range of customizable templates it's easy for users to create professional-looking lead magnet content.
Blogging
When it comes to blogging, both Shinepages and Kajabi offer a range of features to help you create and publish high-quality blog posts.
They both have a built-in blog editor that allows you to create posts with ease. You can format your content using different fonts and colors, and you can add images, videos, and other multimedia elements to make your posts more engaging.
Both have tags, categories, sidebars, and can be customized.
Overall, both Shinepages and Kajabi offer robust blogging features that can help you create valuable and engaging content for your audience.
Ecommerce
Shinepages and Kajabi both offer tools to create and manage an online store. With features including the ability to create product listings, manage orders, use coupon codes, and accept payments with Stripe, Paypal and many other 3rd party payment gateways.
And to be clear, when I say Ecommerce I'm not talking about selling physical products, although I know Shinepages has the option to ship in the checkout widget, but I can't say for Kajabi. I'm strictly referring to digital products that have instant delivery by a download or email.
Podcast
Kajabi has capability to host podcasts, but with some limitations. Shinepages has a podcast player widget that you can add to a page from Anchor or BuzzSprout and also offers audio files, as well as podcast page templates., but no hosting as of this writing.
Learning Tutorials
Of course you may be wondering what the heck the learning curve is for these robust software platforms!
The good news is you'll be set up with plenty of training no matter which one you decide on.
Kajabi University and Shinepages Training Center, are both online training platforms that offer extensive resources for users to learn and improve their skills.
Let's break down, some key differences between the two that can affect your decision when choosing between them.
Kajabi University
Kajabi University is an in depth learning center that offers a wide range of courses, tutorials, and resources. It is specifically designed for Kajabi users and covers topics such as building online courses, creating landing pages, launching email campaigns, and an entire library of courses about running and building an online business.
There are modules about blogging, Facebook Ads, social media, analytics and more. The courses are presented in a structured manner, and additionally, Kajabi University offers a community forum where you can interact with other users, ask questions, and get answers.
Shinepages
On the other hand, Shine Pages Training Center is a dedicated training center for Shinepages users. It's designed to help you learn how to use the platform to its fullest potential.
The training center is broken down into various categories such as building your site, designing your brand, sales funnels, building your course, and everything else you need to utilize all the features on the platform.
There is also a search feature with links to video tutorials on many different topics, and if you can’t find an answer to your question there is live chat support with trained professionals, as well as a private community housed in a Facebook Group.
What makes Shinepages stand out in my opinion is the personalized attention and support that comes from it's founder Robin Newberry. Not only is she extremely skilled and knowledgable, but she's genuine, kind and actually cares about your success.

To Wrap up
Kajabi is a well known all in one platform being marketed and promoted from many well known online businesses including: Brendan Burchard, Amy Porterfield, and Grant Cardone, which provides a lot of credibility and recognition.
They have a vibrant community filled with established businesses and a healthy competition culture of earning rewards and accolades according to your business revenue.
I can’t help but think since Kajabi is such a behemoth in the online world, the new entrepreneur or coach might not be aware there are other options out there that might be more suitable for their business, especially if you’re on a limited budget and don’t already have a large portfolio of digital products.
Kajabi has the notoriety, a few more bells and whistles, and a significant community with recognition and rewards given to members, but a steep price tag for businesses just starting out.
Shinepages is a smaller and intimate community, but with that comes a more personal feel especially with the customer support you experience. It has beautifully designed templates and features for every stage of an online business, for a price point that won't cause anxiety every month.
Go give them both a go and see what you think!
